Phoenix Solar builds 7.8 MWp of solar parks in Germany

Phoenix Solar AG will build two solar parks for SWT Stadtwerke Trier (city utility of Trier) in Germany totalling 7.8 MWp.

Phoenix Solar won the bid in a tendering process for the delivery and assembly of the solar power plants in Fell in the district of Trier-Saarburg and in Bitburg in the district of Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm, Rhineland-Palatinate.

Work has already started at the Bitburg site, where more than 72,000 thin-film solar modules from First Solar totalling over 5.6 MWp will be installed.

At the Fell site, over 28,000 First Solar thin-film modules totalling 2.2 MWp will be assembled.

Phoenix Solar will also install data monitoring and set up the data link to SWT's control system.

The solar power plants are due to be ready in June.
