The keynote speakers have been announced for the Fuel Cells Science and Technology 2016 conference, which will take place 13–14 April 2016 in Glasgow, Scotland, UK.

High-level keynote speakers

The keynote speakers include:

  • Simon Coote, Head of Energy Industries and Innovation for the Scottish Government.
  • Professor John T.S. Irvine, in the School of Chemistry at the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
  • Dr Felix Büchi, Head of the Fuel Cell Systems and Diagnostics Group at the Paul Scherrer Institut in Switzerland.

Bringing together research and technology

This Grove Fuel Cell Event will bring together leading researchers and technologists, working in areas such as new materials, degradation processes and systems engineering, to discuss the state-of-the-art, highlight new developments, and propose research priorities for fuel cell systems development.

The programme – which will be announced shortly – will address fuel cell electrochemistry, materials for fuel cells, cell and stack technology, fuels and fuel infrastructure, fuel cell systems and applications, fuel processing, modelling and control, and fuel cell components.

Established European conference series

The 2016 conference in Glasgow is the latest in this series of international conferences that have taken place around Europe. The first conference was in Amsterdam in 2002, followed by Munich in 2004, Turin in Italy in 2006, Copenhagen in 2008, Zaragoza in Spain in 2010, Berlin in 2012, and it returned to Amsterdam in 2014.
