It will install 48 MW at Canfang, a development located at a height of 3,400 metres for which Gamesa will use wind turbines especially configured for high altitudes, and another 50 MW at the Senjitu II complex.

The first order, placed by renewable energy player Concord New Energy (CNE), encompasses the supply and installation of 24 G90-2.0 MW turbines (48 MW) at the Cangfang wind farm being built in county Huize, located in the province of Yunnan in southern China. The turbines to be installed at this wind farm, which is 3,400 metres above sea level, are configured to withstand the low temperatures and low air density conditions typically encountered in some regions of south-west China.

These turbines are due for delivery in May so the project can be commissioned during the second half of the year. This is Gamesa's first order from CNE.

Elsewhere, the company has sealed an agreement with Hebei Construction & Investment Group (HCIG) for the supply, installation and commissioning of 25 of the firm's G97-2.0 MW turbines at phase two of the Senjitu II wind farm, located in the province of Hebei, in south-west Peking. Gamesa already supplied 50 MW during phase one of this project.
