Renewable energy provide Raggnar Power has signed a six-year lease with Aberdeenshire Council to use commercial property in Insch, Aberdeenshire. Raggnar will operate the site from April as a service hub for its customers in North East Scotland.
 

10 Raggnar employees will be based at Insch initially, and the company plans to employ 30 people locally by the end of 2015. There, workers will design, install and maintain renewable energy systems for commercial buildings and estates in the region. These activities will be managed by Stuart Kennedy, Raggnar’s hub director for North East Scotland.

"It adds to our growing footprint of Raggnar Hubs, which offer the expert installation and service capabilities required to satisfy growing demand for renewable energy systems.”

 

Insch will be the fourth Raggnar Hub to be established in the UK to meet growing demand for renewable energy systems. Raggnar already has Hubs in King’s Lynn, Swindon and Broadstairs. Raggnar is establishing a nationwide network of service centres and plans to have eight in operation by the end of 2015. Insch will also accommodate Raggnar’s expanding corporate activities while construction work takes place to build new headquarters in the region. The planned development will include state-of-the-art facilities for developing solar, wind and geothermal energy technologies.
