Cenex, Millbrook partner with ChargeMaster to charge EVs at LCV2014 low carbon vehicle event

In the UK, the Cenex centre of excellence for low carbon and fuel cell technologies and Millbrook Proving Ground are partnering with ChargeMaster, to provide electric vehicle charging points for exhibitors and visitors at the upcoming LCV2014 Cenex Low Carbon Vehicle Event 2014.

Cenex organises LCV2014, the largest technology showcase and networking event for the low carbon vehicle community in the UK. Its annual Low Carbon Vehicle Event LCV2014 takes place 10–11 September at Millbrook in Bedfordshire.

Cenex has announced a partnership with ChargeMaster, which will be providing charge points at LCV2014, working with Millbrook to ensure that exhibitors' and visitors' electric vehicles (EVs) remain fully charged throughout the two-day event.

ChargeMaster provides a comprehensive range of EV charging solutions, developed to accommodate new technological advances and the growing demands of the EV industry. ChargeMaster will allow LCV2014 exhibitors to recharge their vehicles for free from the outdoor steering pad.

As the operator of the Polar Network – which provides national coverage in the UK, including in Milton Keynes, near Millbrook – ChargeMaster will also install a cluster of rapid and fast charging points at the end of Millbrook’s mile-long straight, allowing attendees to drive to the event on electricity and leave their car to charge while they browse the show.

Cenex LCV2014 is held in partnership with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, the Technology Strategy Board, UK Trade and Investment,  Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, Automotive Council, and the Office for Low Emissions Vehicles. Representatives from more than 800 companies will attend, including vehicle manufacturers, infrastructure providers, and fleet operators.

LCV2014 will be the seventh in a series of national low carbon vehicle events run by Cenex, with free visitor registration now available online.
