Kiernan joins four other prominent industry executives on this year’s Roundtable. The other participating executives joining Kiernan are as follows:
- Bill Mohl, president, Wholesale Commodities, Entergy Corporation
- Doyle Beneby, President & CEO, CPS Energy
- James R. "Bob" Dalrymple, senior vice president, coal and operations, Tennessee Valley Authority
- John Ragan, president, NRG Energy’s Gulf Coast Region and executive vice president, NRG South Texas LP.

Kiernan assumed his role as CEO of AWEA last May. Prior to that, he spent 15 years as president of the National Parks Conservation Association. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1981 with a degree in Environmental Computer Modeling. KIernan also holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. While at Stanford, he also served as assistant to the director of Oregon’s Department of Environmental Quality.
