Tom Kiernan, AWEA CEO, joins ELECTRIC POWER 2014 'Executive Roundtable'

Wind power executive to join other esteemed industry leaders in New Orleans 1 -3 April.

Kiernan joins four other prominent industry executives on this year’s Roundtable. The other participating executives joining Kiernan are as follows:

  • Bill Mohl, president, Wholesale Commodities, Entergy Corporation
  • Doyle Beneby, President & CEO, CPS Energy
  • James R. "Bob" Dalrymple, senior vice president, coal and operations, Tennessee Valley Authority
  • John Ragan, president, NRG Energy’s Gulf Coast Region and executive vice president, NRG South Texas LP.

“The five leaders who are taking part in this year’s Executive Roundtable arguably make it one of the best that ELECTRIC POWER has offered during its 16 years,” said Jamie Reesby, ELECTRIC POWER show director. “AWEA is collaborating with ELECTRIC POWER to help develop conference sessions of broad interest to the power generation industry, not just the renewable energy sector. Having Tom Kiernan take part in our Executive Roundtable will likewise broaden the discussion and points of view.”

Kiernan assumed his role as CEO of AWEA last May. Prior to that, he spent 15 years as president of the National Parks Conservation Association. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1981 with a degree in Environmental Computer Modeling. KIernan also holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. While at Stanford, he also served as assistant to the director of Oregon’s Department of Environmental Quality.
