Solectria’s Megawatt Solar Station, with two SGI 500XT's, was chosen for the ground-mount solar array at Fort Carson, located just outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado. The system will produce 2,195,000 kWh annually.

Infinity Construction Services, Inc. (ICS) and Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME), a wholly owned subsidiary of Quanta Services, Inc. worked together as the EPC contractor for this project.

"As a veteran-owned company, we were excited to join forces with one of the largest EPC contractors in the country to contribute to Hensel Phelps Construction Co. and the United States Army Corp of Engineers' renewable energy effort at Ft. Carson," said Darrel Wilmoth, president of ICS. Fort Carson is an active U.S. Army installation that supports 10 military units with more than 19,000 active-duty personnel. The Army has a strong commitment to clean, renewable energy; and, Fort Carson has one of the most forward-thinking energy strategies and track records in the Department of Defense. One objective of the installations' Garrison Commander Strategic Action Plan is to sustain all facility and mobility systems from renewable sources by 2027.
