RES submits plans for Scottish wind farm

RES has submitted an application for Keirs Hill Wind Farm near Patna in East Ayrshire, Scotland.

The 17 turbine project will have an installed capacity of between 51-57.8MW.

"We appreciate the time people have taken to find out about our proposal and provide us with comments,” said Graeme Kerr, RES project manager. “Through the consultation process, which started in December 2011 with the submission of the scoping report, we have made changes to our original layout and we have submitted an application for Keirs Hill Wind Farm that we think is suitable for the area."

RES says that Keirs Hill Wind Farm could result in the investment of £4.7 million in the local economy during construction and the first year of operation.

The Scottish Government's Energy Consents and Deployment Unit is now undertaking a formal consultation process.
