The vessels, which are all built to BMT Nigel Gee’s design, were launched from two different shipyards, two in Europe and one in Asia.
The vessels range in size, with two built to a 19.4 metre propeller-driven conventional catamaran design, and one a 26 metre so-called Extreme Semi-Swath (XSS), which is fitted with active motion damping systems comprising T-Foils and interceptors.
Sea trials for two of the vessels have been completed, both of which have met all expected performance criteria. The XSS is currently in transit to the open sea in order for trials in the coming weeks.
