The Chilean Ministry for Public Lands (Ministerio de Bienes Nacionales) is inviting developers to submit proposals for three state-owned territories in the Region of Antofagasta in the North of Chile.

Each site could see wind farms of 40-150 MW.

Prospective wind measurements that have been carried out by the Chilean Ministry of Energy and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, have identified the sites as highly suitable with expected capacity factors of more than 30%.
