Under the agreement, DONG Energy can purchase up to 600 wind turbine foundations from Bladt Industries.

The deal also provides DONG Energy influence on the selection of steel suppliers. It is expected that the foundations would be manufactured at Bladts factory in Aalborg, Denmark.

The companies will also work together on the design of  the wind turbine foundations and will look to optimise production.

Bladt is already supplying foundations for the London Array offshore wind farm. It will also supply foundations for the Anholt offshore wind farm in 2012.
