Gamesa opens fifth wind turbine facility in China

Gamesa has inaugurated its fifth factory, which will assemble 2 MW nacelles for the G9X wind turbine range with an annual capacity of 500 MW, in China in the city of Da’an in Jilin province.

Gamesa already has four factories producing wind turbine blades, generators, nacelle and gearbox assembly in Tianjin province, China.

José Antonio Miranda, Chairman and CEO of Gamesa China, says: “Gamesa continues to tap into the opportunities being thrown up by the fast-growing wind power markets such as China.”
