SOLARWATT doubles solar capacity to 400 MWp

SOLARWATT AG has opened a new solar module production line and a new logistics centre doubling its manufacturing capacity from 200 MWp to 400 MWp.

SOLARWATT has invested an additional €35 million into Dresden with the solar module facility, creating 140 new jobs.

The automated SOLARWATT assembly line, which covers an area of 3800 m2, utilises 29 industrial robots that handle the solar modules. The site also features a large laminator.

In addition, the solar module manufacturer launched a new logistics centre covering 13,000 m2. It provides storage space for over 2600 palettes where future solar modules will eventually await shipment. The building also features five docking stations, a side-load ramp and three elevators.
