IBC SOLAR opens Czech solar PV subsidiary

IBC SOLAR has opened a Czech subsidiary, IBC SOLAR s.r.o., in Prague to serve the Czech and Slovakian solar photovoltaic (PV) markets.

Of the estimated 100 MWp solar PV market volume in the Czech Republic, IBC SOLAR s.r.o. aims to achieve around 10%.

In the Czech Republic every kilowatt-hour of electricity fed into the grid for solar PV roof systems of up to 30 kWp is compensated with around €0.47.

In Slovakia there is a law in order to subsidise renewable energies and a feed-in tariff for solar electricity. For solar power plants with a maximum 100 kWp, the tariff guarantees around €0.43/kWh that is fed into the grid over a period of 15 years.
