ENERQOS France builds BIPV installation in Southwest France

ENERQOS France SAS is constructing a 290 kWp building integrated photovoltaic system (BIPV) at the logistics hub of the French transport company SAS Satar and MERLE Transport SA, located in the Tarn-et-Garonne region of Southwest France.

The BIPV system is expected to be connected to the national grid in September 2010.

Marc Vogeleisen, Operations Director at ENERQOS France, says: “The solution developed by ENERQOS can be adapted to different types of commercial roofing as well as industrial and agricultural structures and is very interesting for the French market which offers particularly enticing feed-in tariffs for building-integrated photovoltaic systems.”

"In France, architectural photovoltaic applications are emerging, which allows the country to be a world leader in this field. Our extensive experience in developing and building roof-top PV solutions, combined with our ability to innovate, enables us to take up this promising business opportunity,” adds Christian Deloffre, President of ENERQOS France SAS.

“Developing building-integrated solutions which combine the generation of clean energy with an innovative design can also improve the aesthetic appeal of buildings.”
