The direct contract partner of Masdar PV is Belectric, a solar PV system integrator. The first construction phase of the ground-mounted thin-film solar park will be completed in 2010.

Masdar’s solar thin-film modules are said to provide high energy yields under diffuse lighting conditions and high ambient temperatures, making them suitable for use in arid zones and desert areas such as the Indian subcontinent.

The 5 MW plant has a total surface area of approx. 150.000 m².
