Trina Solar utility-scale solar module

Trina Solar Ltd is launching its utility-scale solar module TSM-PC14 with an expected power output of 265-290 W.

The solar module has a positive power tolerance of 0/+3% and with a 72 multicrystalline cell arrangement, the large solar modules are designed specifically for utility-scale installations and large scale, ground mounted systems.

"Built to address increasing market demand for utility-scale solar installations around the world, this is our most powerful module and an excellent addition to our premium multicrystalline portfolio," says Jifan Gao, Chairman and CEO of Trina Solar.

"Matching a competitive priced structure with proven high performance modules is the way the solar industry will achieve grid parity, and the introduction of the TSM-PC14 is a big step towards achieving this goal."

The solar module is targeted to be available for sale in the European and North American markets in the fourth quarter of 2010.
