The solar PV module contains 60 solar PV cells and has an output of 235 W. It is aimed at plants in industry and on open spaces.

However, the solar PV module can be employed equally well for conventional house roof installations.

Because of the new module dimensions of 1662 x 990 mm, Kyocera has attached two additional cross-struts to the rear of the solar PV module in order to ensure stability.

The frame can withstand high wind pressure and a snow load of up to 5400 N/m2.

The KD235GH-2PB solar PV module is scheduled to be available in June 2010.
