The investment adds to the £6m (US$10m) received from Wellington Partners and BankInvest in June 2009 for a total investment of £8.5m (US$14.3m) in Enecsys.
Enecsys says it will make its first product announcement in early 2010.
The company's solar PV micro-inverter technology is said to deliver low lifetime costs, high reliability and fast, easy installation of solar PV systems.
