UK-based Offshore Marine Academy relocates

Training instiution announces opening of a new operating base at the prestigious Wynyard Business Park, Teesside, in the heart of North East England.

The Offshore Marine Academy has been based in Bristol since 2010, but is moving north to support the growing number of renewables companies that are established in the area. In recent years the North East has become the unofficial home of offshore renewables companies. To that end, Offshore Marine Academy's training programmes will help to support this by catering for both individuals and companies, thereby addressing the offshore industry’s skills and knowledge gap.

“Having a presence in North East of England gives us easier access to the individuals and renewables companies that require our services, such as organisations that support offshore projects," said Antony Lewis, business manager for Offshore Marine Academy. "It is exciting to see the opportunity that is in front of us, and the team and I are looking forward to supporting continued growth of the industry while ensuring the highest safety standards.”

The Offshore Marine Academy's training courses and entry programmes are aimed specifically at the needs of the offshore renewables industry as the sector continues to expand. Both the core and bespoke courses are designed to meet the needs of the industry and provide the skills and knowledge required to facilitate its continuous development.
