Hanwha Q CELLS opens new office in France

Move designed to strengthen Hanwha's position in France's lucrative PV market.

Hanwha Q CELLS's new French office -- based in Aix-en-Provence near Marseille -- marks the company's market offensive in France, as it continues to pursue solar opportunities. "France is one of our European home markets," said Justin Lee, CCO at Hanwha Q CELLS. "According to our international market offensive in 2014, we are well positioned to develop solar power in France."

The outlook for solar energy in France justifies those initiatives. According to analysts at NPD Solarbuzz, France will be one of the recovering European PV markets in this year next to Germany, the U.K. and Italy. "Thanks to its high irradiation PV makes a lot of sense in France's sunny regions," Philippe Pflieger, Hanwha's newly appointed head of sales for France, explained. "With a strengthened team and our new office, we can now offer an on-site service throughout the entire country. In the next step, we will enter into long-term partnerships with installers in the whole country."
