RES sells Australian wind farm to Santander and CBD Energy

Upon completion, the project will have an installed capacity of 106.8 MW and will be Santander’s first wind project in Australia.

The Taralga wind farm in New South Wales has been developed by RES and is now ready to enter its main construction phase. It is scheduled for completion in 2014.

“The RES team has developed an excellent site and we are proud that Santander and CBD Energy have chosen the Taralga Wind Farm to build their investments in the Australian renewable energy market” said Matt Rebbeck, Chief Operating Officer for RES Australia. “They bring strong experience as well as substantial purchasing power and funding, and are ideally placed to bring this development to completion.”

In addition to Taralga, RES is also involved in other major projects in Australia, currently in development, including the Ararat and Penshurst Wind Farms in Victoria.
