SolarBond Membrane is constructed from a modified silicone-rubber material and is used as a process aid in securing and sealing all solar PV module components with ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) adhesive film.
The membrane is highly resistant to EVA outgassing at the high heat exposure (up to temperatures of 220°C) used in the module lamination process.
It also retains its inherent flexibility and tear-resistance through repeated handling, protecting both the solar pV module and equipment to increase service life and lower costs, Saint-Gobain Solar says.
Saint-Gobain Solar is also showing its SolarBond InFrame, a instant solution for solar PV module manufacturing and SolarBond Frame Tapes for framing solar modules
Saint-Gobain solar tracking bearings
Saint-Gobain has also launched its SOLGLIDE T and SOLGLIDE M families of bearings, said to reduce the costs of initial investment, operations and maintenance for solar tracking systems in solar power plants.
The company says the bearings reduce friction and wear by 50% compared to other models on the market.
The SOLGLIDE T and SOLGLIDE M bearings are designed with a fluoropolymer to be chemically resistant and self-lubricating that performs at a temperature range of -200°C to 260°C.
