The Nomans Wind offshore wind farm would be placed 20 nautical miles south of the MA-RI border in water depths of 20-40 m.

Neptune Wind, which intends to develop, construct and operate the offshore wind farm, says it already has qualified as a commercial energy leaseholder on the Outer Continental Shelf in the Area of Mutual Interest (AIM) recently announced by the Department of the Interior.
