The GL accreditation allows certification testing to be carried out in-house by Hexcel, avoiding the need to sub-contract the work to other approved test houses. 

The Hexcel test lab has more than 15 test machines carrying out mechanical testing from 5 kN to 600 kN frames and includes two robotic test frames.

Hexcel produces prepregs for the manufacture of composite wind turbine blades. It also supplies fibre reinforcements, laminates, foam cores and gel-coats for wind energy applications.
