Korean green growth centre opens in Denmark

The Republic of Korea’s Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is establishing its first regional office outside the Republic of Korea at Risø DTU in Denmark.

GGGI is global non-profit institute dedicated to the promotion of green growth headquartered in Seoul, Korea.

The aim of the office at Risø DTU is to develop projects helping developing countries launch initiatives within energy, transport and climate, and based on green growth.

DTU has also entered into a partnership with Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).

The agreement between DTU and KAIST includes a joint Korean-Danish/Danish-Korean Green Technology Research Centre which will form the basis for joint research into sustainable solutions.

The collaboration will initially focus on integrated water technology and biosustainability (including biofuels).
