The 60 cell solar PV module STP245S-20/Wd is said to neutralise the initial light-induced degradation (LID) effect. The solar PV module has a 14.8% efficiency rating.

“Responding to the popularity of the 60 cell layout, the new Wd mono module is the logical next step in the evolution of our 6 inch cell modules. The superior fill factor is valuable for all applications, but is particularly well suited to small commercial and residential installations where it offers higher performance and lower balance of system costs,” says Vedat Gürgeli, Suntech's Vice President of Sales and Marketing Europe.

The solar PV module is certified to withstand wind loads up to 2400 Pascal and snow loads up to 5400 Pascal. It has also been tested and certified for ammonia resistance making it suited for agricultural installations.
