Celestica and Recurrent solar manufacturing JV in Ontario

Celestica Inc and Sharp subsidiary Recurrent Energy have formed a joint venture (JV) to manufacture over 200 MW of solar components annually creating 300 manufacturing jobs in Ontario, Canada.

The JV will manufacture the solar components at Celestica’s facility in Toronto for use in new solar projects in the province.

We look forward to working with Recurrent in this emerging marketplace," says Mike Andrade, Senior Vice President, Americas, Celestica.

"The economic policy leadership in Ontario makes it an attractive market for renewable energy investment, and is a foundation for this agreement between Recurrent Energy and Celestica," adds Sheldon Kimber, Senior Vice President, Development, Recurrent Energy.
