A joint solar PV project pipeline is in place. The projects of the JV will use solar wafers from LDK Solar and solar cells from Q-Cells.

The solar PV systems JV is already in discussions with potential buyers of the first turn-key project in Europe, and is in the planning stages for future joint projects in the Chinese market.

Q-Cells and LDK Solar say they intend to take advantage of value chain optimisation and integrated cost reduction.
