Phaesun sets up solar shops in Mozambique

Phaesun GmbH has started a project of rural electrification through off-grid solar systems in Pessene, Mozambique.

The €300,000 solar power project is going to last for two years. 50% of the investment costs are covered by the Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft.

A sustained trader network will be established with the first solar shops to be opened mid-2011, Phaesun says.

The project partners will also establish ‘solar shops’ and ‘solar kiosks’ selling solar systems and renting out lamps.
