Events & Training for December 2014
CARISMA 2014 Conference, European Coordination Action on Intermediate and High Temperature Membrane Electrode Assemblies
01 December 2014 - 03 December 2014
The CARISMA conference series is devoted to the challenges in developing fuel cell materials and membrane-electrode assemblies (MEAs) for the low-, medium and high-temperature range targeted for transport and stationary applications. The conference will present recent results, discuss and debate the solutions sought internationally to the bottlenecks associated with operation at low, medium and higher temperatures, with an international programme of invited lectures, oral and poster contributions to promote a review of important issues related to materials development and durability for PEM fuel cell systems. Abstract deadline: 31 May 2014.

NEXT ENERGY Workshop on Medium Temperature PEM FC – Materials, Stacks and Systems (EURECA Project)
02 December 2014 - 03 December 2014
The European EURECA project is developing the next generation of micro-CHP systems based on advanced PEM fuel cell stack technology with operating temperatures between 90°C and 120°C. The aim is to overcome the disadvantages of complex gas purification, gas humidification, and the low temperature gradient for the heat-exchangers in a heating system. The main focus of this workshop will be the marketable status of 'medium-temperature' fuel cell systems, with the project partners reporting on their progress, and comparable work will be presented by several invited speakers.
