Topics to be covered include adopting new US codes and standards for geothermal energy; federal leasing and permitting: performance and improvement; and state PUC and utility officials presenting on their outlook for geothermal procurement, among others.

Summer School: Renewable Energy Technologies

Summer School: Grid-connected and Off-grid Photovoltaics

The course deals with grid-connected and off-grid photovoltaic systems, covering planning, installation, maintenance, quality management, and monitoring. Important non-technical aspects such as legal issues, economic viability, feed-in-tariffs/net-metering, and project management issues will also be discussed, and there will be site visits.

World Water Week

World Water Week is hosted and organised by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), and has been the annual focal point for the globe's water issues since 1991. SIWI provides a platform for more than 200 collaborating organisations to convene events at the World Water Week, and individuals from around the globe present their findings at the scientific workshops. Each year the World Water Week addresses a particular theme – for 2014 the theme is 'Energy and Water'.
